Since 2009, Carolina Family Estate Planning has been helping clients to leave a legacy of protection for their families. The Alzheimer’s Planning Center was founded to answer the shortcomings of traditional estate planning and elder law by providing robust services to support families impacted by cognitive impairment. Ultimately, our goal is to provide peace of mind and comfort to those who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s—as well as their families—by providing a slate of unique services created specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s. We seek to provide the best outcome for our clients to maintain their dignity and comfort in the future.
The Alzheimer’s Planning Center facilitates all aspects of long-term care planning for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. We understand deeply the notion that a one-size-fits-all approach leaves too many loose ends and disorganization. Our goal is to create a custom care plan that is tailored to the circumstances and needs of the individual with Alzheimer’s and their families.
The Alzheimer’s Planning Center uses the expertise of Rokkell Jones, its Memory Care Planner. Her role is to establish a rapport with clients to ensure continuity of care to put families dealing with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis at ease. Rokkell has also noted how helping others informs her personal and professional perspective:
“It gives me a sense of pride to help others. I watched people in my family help out, giving people food from their different gardens for nothing in return. I’ll never forget the smiles they put on people's faces. I was raised by the principle that giving back is where you get your blessings from.”
The Alzheimer’s Planning Center at Carolina Family Estate Planning was born out of the principles of service and commitment, as well as personal connections to Alzheimer’s and dementia. Founding attorney Jackie Bedard understood the challenges and daunting nature of assisting a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease deeply. This experience, combined with her legal training and expertise, gave life to the Alzheimer’s Planning Center.
Understandably, there is a lot that goes into making care-based decisions, but we have a communicative and understanding team ready to assist you and your family throughout this process.
